Chris Wheaton
Master Chris Wheaton is a 5th Degree Blackbelt and owner of Wheaton Martial Arts Twin Tigers/Upper Left Muay Thai in Burien, WA. With over 20 years of martial arts experience, he is a Kukkiwon/World Taekwondo Certified Blackbelt, USA Taekwondo and Amateur Athletic Union Certified Trainer and Coach, and a Kickboxing Certified Trainer. Additionally, Master Wheaton is a former Washington State MMA and Kickboxing Champion.

Kru Phouvane Sipraseuth
Phouvane Sipraseuth has an extensive martial arts background, starting with boxing at Kalakaua Gym in Honolulu, HI, in 1980. He then trained in Chinese martial arts at the Siu Lum Pai Academy in 1983. In 1985, he began training in Muay Thai under Ajarn
Kham Philavanh and later became Kru certified under Arjarn Suchart, Siam-1. He also holds a white belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu under Marcelo Alonso. Phouvane has been port of fight teams such as Singha Fights MMA and Ali Muay Thai. His teaching history includes positions at Emerald City Fight Factory in Covington, Singha Fights in Tukwila, and Ali'i Muay Thai in Covington.

Thison Wheaton
Instructor Thi-Son Wheaton is a 3rd degree black belt and instructor/coach at Wheaton’s Martial Arts and Twin Tiger/Upper Left Muay Thai in Burien, WA. Born and raised in the martial arts world, he has over 18 years of experience and is a Kukkiwon/World TaeKwonDo Certified Black Belt. Instructor Thi-Son is a Washington State Champion in TaeKwonDo and has competed in high-level national tournaments such as AAU, USAT, KUDA, and Team Trials. He has traveled across the states, including Texas, Nevada, and California, to compete in championships. Instructor Thi-Son continues to train and coach alongside his team, always preparing for the next level to further his experience and knowledge in the martial arts world.

Nohemi Soto
Mrs. Soto is a highly accomplished martial artist, holding a 3rd-degree black belt in Taekwondo. With extensive training in Taekwondo, Hapkido, and Kickboxing, she has dedicated her career to teaching self-defense techniques in the Renton community. As the owner and coach of Forza Dragon Martial Arts, Mrs. Soto continues to empower her students by increasing their awareness and skills in self-defense through her expert instruction.

Daniel Ramirez
Master Daniel Ramirez, a 6th Degree Blackbelt and U.S. National Champion, brings over 25 years of martial arts experience to the Tacoma School. He is Kukkiwon and World Taekwondo certified, as well as a certified trainer, coach, and international referee through USA Taekwondo and the Amateur Athletic Union. Currently serving as the Vice President of the USA Taekwondo Washington State Association, Master Ramirez is also a retired U.S. Army veteran who honorably served in both Afghanistan and Iraq.

Kumar Derrow
As the Head of Marketing and Research at Wheaton’s Martial Arts, Kumar brings valuable experience from his roles as a Lead Strategist at Wunderman Thompson, where he worked with Microsoft and T-Mobile, and as an Account Lead for AAA at RAPP. His background in managing high-profile accounts, developing strategic marketing initiatives, and conducting in-depth market research allows him to effectively drive the growth and success of Wheaton’s Martial Arts.
